MERIT is forming as a Maryland nonprofit (501(c)(3) status pending). This page explains what earnmerit.org collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What the sign-up form collects
When you use the “Get involved” form, we receive:
- your name and email address;
- what you would like to do (volunteer, stay informed and join the town hall, or explore a partnership);
- anything you choose to write in the optional message box;
- if you arrived through one of our campaign links, the tags on that link (for example, which post or flyer you came from). These describe the link, not you.
We use this only to reply to you, share next steps, and invite you to the town hall. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Where it goes
The form is handled by Netlify Forms, part of Netlify, the service that hosts this site. Your submission is stored in our Netlify account, and only the MERIT team can read it.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up until you ask us to remove it. Email hello@earnmerit.org at any time and we will delete it, or tell you what we hold.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses cookieless analytics by Cloudflare Web Analytics; no cookies, no personal data. A small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com reports aggregated page views (such as which page was visited, the referring site, and the browser type) so we can see what is useful. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across other sites.
The site itself sets no cookies. Like any website, our host processes basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser) to deliver pages securely; we do not use it to identify you.
Young people
This website is for adults who want to volunteer, stay informed, or partner with MERIT. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.
